Did you forget to buy your children a Halloween costume a few weeks ago? We are in the same boat! It was October first literally two seconds ago, and now it’s a couple of days before Halloween. Halloween costumes are always tricky because you want to be creative with your kid’s costumes, but you also don’t want to spend a fortune. Fortunately, we have some ideas and tips for you so that you don’t have to run to the nearest Halloween Store to pick up a ridiculously, overpriced costume.
1. Rockstar – Here at Alouettes, we teach children how to play the guitar. Sometimes we teach classical music, and sometimes we like to rock out to old school rock. Grab an inflatable guitar, throw on a wig, black shirt, skinny jeans, and you’re the next Sammy Hagar. 2. Piano – Teaching children how to play the piano is one thing, but dressing them up as a piano man is always fun. Grab a toy piano, or a real one, dress your little one up with a top hat, and you’re good to go. 3. Rainbow – Expressing yourself is something that we encourage at Alouettes. From dance to theatre, our kids express themselves daily. A fun way to show personality is to dress your little one up as a rainbow, filled with colors. All you need is a tutu, tulle, ribbon in various rainbow colors, colorful tights, and bright socks. Your little one will definitely color everyone happy. 4. Cat – just like one of our favorite Broadway performances, cats are always popular. Color your little one’s nose black, throw on a pair of cat ears, and they are good to go. Don’t forget the tail. 5. Old man – get use out of those old dance shoes. Put them on with some khaki pants, a button up shirt, a cute tie, suspenders, glasses, and you have a grandpa on your hands.

The parents of our students often ask us, “How can I find out more information about.....? Do you have a blog?” Our answer was always, “no,” up until today. Alouettes Academy has finally launched our blog, which will contain information ranging from our dance academy, to singing, arts and culture, instruments, and much more.
Our academy is a family orientated place for children to learn how to dance, play an instrument, sing, act, and have fun, while building life lasting friendships. Our dance program offers styles such as classical ballet, lyrical and modern, jazz, hip hop, tap, and flamenco. From beginners to experts, our classes are catered to help each student develop self- confidence, discipline and social skills. We have an Elite Dance Program, as well as our own Dance Company, which are catered more towards students who are more serious about dancing, and plan to explore it as a career option. When it comes to music and instruments, our teachers are the best. We accept students that are at least 4 years of age, if they show interest in music, piano, or guitar. Finally, we offer theatre classes for children. Theatre class provides great advantages that cannot be found in recreational sports. Students of our academy learn stage presence as well as how to express themselves through exploration and discovery. Children involved in theatre show an increase in self-confidence, public speaking abilities and trust. It's a positive outlet that will help your child to not only solve problems creatively but to think outside of the box. Rest assured that any class you take at Alouettes, whether it be dance, music or theatre, will help your child succeed in so many ways. They may not be number one YET, but we will work hard to make sure they get there. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for specials and class updates. Alouettes Academy is located at 15451 SW 137th AVE in Miami, Florida. Contact us at 305-255-4488 or by emailing us at [email protected]. |
